Description: Monitoring system (of)for the state of filling (of the) bins, for the collection of urban waste, located in geographical areas that due to their particular conformation create disservices.

The intelligent collection system is configured through a distributed, non-invasive structure, consisting of detection modules, supervision modules and servers for data storage and processing.

The bins are equipped with appropriate sensory nodes which, in addition to monitoring their filling status, are able to exchange information, through the concentrator nodes, with the processing center located within the administrative offices of the service company responsible for collection. The system is capable of exploiting any type of wireless communication, from the point-to-point ZigBee type (for low-level management of the single box as well as the ecological island) up to national networks such as GSM, GPRS, WiMAX and UMTS in order to to create a distributed network capable of interfacing with all existing communication infrastructures.
